Tina and Ted got married on what may have been the most perfect August day. The skies were sunny and temperatures hovered in the mid-70s for their Roslyn wedding at Stonehouse 101 in Roslyn. It was the type of weather every bride (and let’s be honest, photographer) hopes for on a wedding day. We began their day with photo coverage as they got ready and the finishing touches were placed on Tina’s hair and makeup. While I photographed the details, the bride and her bridesmaids enjoyed sipping on champagne in their gorgeous matching robes.

Before we knew it, it was time for Tina and Ted’s first look. Can I just say how much I love the new tradition of first looks? It’s such a beautiful moment of privacy for the bride and groom. It gives them the opportunity for a few moments of solitude before the hustle and bustle of a wedding day. It’s also a great way to maximize time with your photographer and spend more time with your guests too!

And it truly did not take away from the emotion written across Ted’s face as he watched his bride walk down the aisle next to her grandfather. The ceremony that followed was short and sweet, with joy and laughter. One of my favorite wedding day moments happens when the bride and groom walk back down on the aisle as husband and wife. It’s a moment of such pure happiness, a true culmination point of all the hard work and effort that has been spent over the past months planning their big day.

The rest of the evening was spent mingling with their family and friends among the twinkling lights in the back garden of Stonehouse 101 with great food and a wonderful atmosphere. Congratulations Ted and Tina, thank you so much for trusting me to capture your day! I hope your honeymoon on Amalfi Coast is amazing!
