Mark and April D’Antonio moved from the midwest to the PNW nearly 10 years ago. They immediately fell in love with the Suncadia Resort near Cle Elum because it has a little something for everyone in the family. In the summer, the kids love to ride bikes, April loves to hike and Mike loves their golf course. Not to mention they spend a lot of time there skiing in the winter. It’s because this area is so near to their hearts that they chose to do their eldest son’s Senior Photography in Suncadia and the surrounding area. What better place to, and what better reason, to document this moment for him and get updated family portraits as well.

All three kids attend Eastside Catholic in Sammamish and as it’s Luciano’s senior year, as part of the graduating class of 2021. As for Luc, he is an avid outdoorsman, loves to be on the water, play baseball, and lead an active life. I believe that senior portraits should be a mixture of classic photos as well as a reflection of who they are in this moment. It was important for me to capture those classics of him as well as create photos that highlighted his many passions and interest. On our agenda was a visit to the baseball fields, and the Yakima River; as well as locations in the area that lent to a more traditional senior portrait. Brick walls, staircases, and natural greenery can make the perfect backdrop for classic portraits without needing to visit the studio! 

We had more than enough portraits of Luc to complete a beautiful 12×12 heirloom photo album as part of my top senior collection. April and Mark also chose to display a 24×36 wall print of the whole family and a wall portrait of the three kids together.

What do you love about printed wall art/albums:

I think that printed work seems more like art. I believe it captures how people relate to their surroundings and pauses a moment in time, forever.  I wanted that for my son and for my family.
