One of the highest compliments in the photography industry is when another photographer places their trust in you to take their family photos.  I was overjoyed when fellow photographer, Meaghan, reached out to me in her search for an Ellensburg family photographer. But, I also felt a bit of the pressure working with another professional in the field! However, the moment I arrived on their stunning property and began to photograph the trio those jitters melted right away. After all, I was in my element and this is what I do! Not only did Meaghan knock it out of the park with their wardrobe (as I expected she would!) but the location was perfect. Honestly, I could have photographed this sweet family for hours.

On top of being impeccably dressed (look at that bow tie!), little Fox was quite the character during our session. He hammed it right up and the camera loved him! Some of my favorite portraits are of Fox and Meaghan among the wildflowers. Those moments are so precious and tender between a mother and her child. They hold the type of memories all parents want to look back on one day when our babies are long grown. When they no longer fit in our laps or into tiny rocking chairs.

I didn’t think it could get any more precious but then we brought out the family pets. Zach’s cats were absolutely majestic – and they knew it, too. It was also clear that Fox adored Meaghan’s beautiful puppies.

I’m so glad that Meaghan and Zach chose to work with me to capture their family portraits. I hope that these photographs serve as a reminder of what it’s like to be in this stage of life with a little boy who is so precious and loved.
