I first photographed a member of the Larimer family back in 2018 when Kaiden’s older brother Karter was a high school senior. I was overjoyed when the family chose me when it was again time to find a Cle Elum Photographer for senior photos. Among his accomplishments at Cle Elum-Roslyn High School, Kaiden is a member of the National Honors Society and President of the Future Business Leaders of America. He is also the ASB (Associated Student Body) President for the senior class and a Homecoming prince.

More About Kaiden

In addition to academics, Kaiden is a talented musician in Jazz Band, Marching Band, and Concert Band. He plays guitar, (both acoustic and electric), and the saxophone. His love for the guitar and music in general is apparent in many of his photos, including his idea to recreate the Beatles Abbey Road album cover seen below.

He is also the Drum Major (aka conductor) for the marching band. On top of all of that, he also somehow manages to also maintain a 3.9 GPA.  To put it mildly, he’s an incredibly successful young man! Outside of academic and social settings, Kaiden works for the historic Roslyn Movie Theater. Which is fitting given his self-professed obsession with movies. He goes to movie theaters almost weekly! His love for music and theater is exemplified in his response to being asked who he admired during his feature interview with NKC tribune as Student of the Week:  “Johnny Cash’s sympathy, honesty, and tenacity have been great inspirations to me for my entire life. And will continue to be for as long as I can tell.”

Photographing someone who is as full of lively personality as Kaiden Larimer is an absolute pleasure. From his unique style to his list of accomplishments a mile long, there was no shortage of material to cover as we planned his senior photo sessions. It was only natural to incorporate his collection of guitars, the Roslyn Theater, and a Johnny Cash-inspired ensemble. We were also able to capture other bits of Kaiden’s heritage by photographing at the Snake Ranch, which is an old family homestead in the Teanaway.

He currently plans to attend either CWU or the University of Idaho and become either a teacher or a screenplay author. Kaiden has a strong core set of beliefs that he stays true to at all times. He is a natural leader.”
