Meet Keegan Wilder, son to Danielle Wilder and in the graduating Cle Elum Roslyn Warrior Class of 2023. Keegan is a warrior of his own making, as well. In his young life, he’s battled & survived Ewing’s Sarcoma, a rare type of cancerous tumor that grows in the bones or soft tissue around bones. I first met Keegan, Danielle, and the rest of the Wilder family after Keegan’s cancer recovery. Danielle reserved family portraits with me at Mary Maletzke Photography to celebrate their new chapter of life. And now, to memorialize another big event in Keegan’s life! His Senior Pictures for his Cle Elum Roslyn HS class of 2023!

Keegan has always been described as fearless. Danielle (mom) says he always kept up with the big kids at whatever the cost. Whether that was accepting dares like a good old belly flop in the pool, or insisting on riding his bike without training wheels at just 4 years old, he took on every challenge. That bravery and fearlessness was especially needed when he was diagnosed at 12 years old with Ewing’s Sarcoma.

Senior Pictures for Cle Elum Roslyn High School

Today, Keegan is an incredibly hard worker, whether academically, in sports, or at his job. He’s played tball since he was 3, where Danielle was his coach. Since, he’s worked his way up to playing on the varsity baseball team at school. After graduation, he plans to join the sheet metal union as an apprentice, and ultimately become a journeyman.

While Keegan is the first to admit that taking senior pictures wasn’t his definition of fun, he knew how important they are to Danielle. We made sure to incorporate his passions & style and spent our time capturing the essence of who Keegan really is. Senior Pictures might not be in his top 5 favorite things to do, but he knows his mom has photos of her boy that she’ll love for forever. That’s what’s important to him.

It’s going to complete our journey from family portraits to both of the boys’ senior years. Even though the portraits span almost four years in time, they all work together seamlessly.
