The Singer family first reached out to me in 2015 for a family portrait session. At the time, not a single one of their children came above my shoulders. In 2021 I photographed their eldest son Cole and somehow it’s still difficult for me to believe that it’s time for Ella Singer to shine in the spotlight for her senior portraits.

And yet, Ella is not just a senior; she’s a three-sport scholar-athlete with a passion for sports and a heart dedicated to her family and community.

From the age of 4, Ella has been immersed in the world of sports, starting with t-ball and continuing to excel in soccer, basketball, and softball. Her mom, Cheryl, is not only Ella’s high school softball coach but has been coaching for an impressive 18 years at Cle Elum Roslyn High School.

Cheryl shares the joy of coaching Ella, expressing, “Sharing in successes, both personal and team-based, has been very special. It’s a true full-circle moment from t-ball at age 4 to playing center field in high school. Ella’s dedication to athletics is evident, and she aspires to continue that journey in college.”

Ella’s athletic prowess extends beyond the sports field. She was awarded soccer 1st Team All League Defensive Midfielder, and was name EWAC League MVP – Player of the Year.

She also earned 1st team in softball, along with honorable mention in basketball. In soccer, she showcases her playmaking skills as a defensive midfielder, disrupting opponents with her speed and tenacity. In basketball, Ella’s quick footwork, fearlessness, and relentless defense set her apart. Her movement reflects a dedication to her craft and a love for the thrill of competition.

Ella is excited to continue her academic and athletic career at Bellevue College, where she received a scholarship to play soccer. Ella plans to study forensic science and criminal justice.

Ella’s parents, John and Cheryl, have worked hard to establish family values, grow the familial bonds, teach their children accountability, and the importance of showing up for one another – all in the hopes of creating the beautiful tight-knit unit that makes up the Singers.
