After getting to know Monica and Mark’s family through our daughters mutual love of volleyball, I was honored when they reached out to me in their search for a senior photographer in Cle Elum. Their daughter Kindall Gray is a senior in the class of 2022 at Cle Elum Roslyn High School.  This star athlete’s family transferred her from nearby Easton High School her sophomore year.  They wanted her to be able to take advantage of the opportunities that Cle Elum Roslyn High School offers.

Volleyball Star

The challenge of switching from an intimate setting like Easton, to one like CERHS, is no small feat in itself. For many, it can be overwhelming socially, emotionally and academically. But Kindall has flourished in the last few years.  She was was recently named Most Valuable Player of the volleyball team, and was also awarded first-team all-league. As a parent in the stands myself, it has been amazing to watch her improve year after year, into the truly exceptional player she is today. 

According to Monica,  “Kindall may not realize it, but she is pretty spectacular. She is smart and beautiful, is an outstanding volleyball player, and so much more. I think that she will achieve greatness at whatever she sets her mind to.”

Monica is a talented hairstylist. It was wonderful to work with her and talented makeup artist Patti Gomes for all of Kindall’s senior photos. In addition to highlighting Kindall’s love for volleyball we also wanted to feature her around Cle Elum in order to show off her personal sense of style and natural beauty. Some of my favorite photos of Kindall included those of her in the fall foliage. There is no doubt that green is her power color and she wore it extremely well. 

The family ultimately chose to invest in my most luxurious senior portrait experience with three 16×16 wall pieces to adorn the walls of their home and a 12×12 heirloom album. They also took advantage of the opportunity to add on family portraits, and I can’t wait to share them with you all!
