As a step-mom with grown children, this session is especially special to me. Anyone with teenagers & young adults can attest to how busy life is during these years. Finding time together gets seemingly harder and harder. Which is why I’m so happy to help The Chafin family document this season of their life, along with their son’s senior portraits!

Ellensburg & Cle Elum Family Photos

Christine & John Chafin moved their family to Cle Elum in 2018. Christine said, “We were drawn to the area by the slower pace and beautiful landscape, and we knew it would be a great place to finish raising our family.” And she’s absolutely right!

Christine admitted it had been a while (5 years!) since their last family photoshoot. With both Chafin kids graduating soon, she knew now was the perfect time to update their family photos. Katie, the oldest, is a senior at Central Washington University and majoring in Business Communications with a minor in History and Luke, the youngest, is in the Cle Elum Roslyn High School Class of 2023. They have a lot to celebrate this year, to say the least!

I never got [our family photos from 5 years ago] printed and wasn’t sure what to do with them. This is the first time I have printed portraits on my walls.

Cle Elum Family Photos & Senior Portraits

In addition to updating their family photos, we took time to photograph Luke’s Senior Portraits. As I mentioned, Luke is in the upcoming graduating class of 2023 at CERHS and looking forward to the next chapter of life.

Luke is one incredible athlete with the credentials to back him up. He’s played basketball since kindergarten and plays for both the school Varsity basketball team, and the AAU team. His dad, John, was his very first coach, and has continued to be throughout his AAU career. Luke has been a starting player since he began high school and received the 2022 Offensive Player of the Year Team Award and made the 2022 EWAC All Conferenced 2nd Team. He’s also an exceptional tennis player and plays for the CERHS varsity tennis team. In 2022, he was the EWAC MVP, Sub-District Champion, and made the All League 1st team.

In his senior basketball season, Luke joined the 1000 point club! He recently committed to play basketball at Wenatchee Valley Community College. I know John and Christine are incredibly proud of the hard work Luke has put in, both in athletics and academically.

Luke lives his life to the fullest, is easy going & happy. He’s the party of the family! He is working hard right now to pursue his college career, both academically and with his athletics.
