I specialize in timeless, fine art photography and my passion is combining traditional and lifestyle portraiture while photographing families, seniors, maternity and branding clients in Cle Elum, Washington and surrounding areas.
Justin and Jessica have perhaps one of the most unique engagement stories I have heard. He lives in Oklahoma and she lives in Florida. By chance, they met on a skydiving adventure and immediately bonded over their combined interested in aviation. She is a flight attendant and he has his private pilot’s license. Honestly, what are the odds? Their love of aviation extends further than flying in (and jumping out of ) planes. They also wanted an aviation theme for part of their engagement photos. I love when couples incorporate meaningful places and things into their engagement session. Especially when it’s such a big part of the reason these two became engaged in the first place!
When they contacted me for an engagement session, I realized that Cle Elum is not the premier aviation location given that we are so close to the Museum of Flight in Seattle. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect location for two aviation enthusiasts. A month before they arrived I travelled from Cle Elum to the Museum of Flight in order to plan the session and get special permission for exclusive access to the Museum before it opened. Talk about taking an engagement session to a whole new level! One of my favorite aircraft was the Chance Vought F4U Corsair, premier Marine fighter of World War II. It was so massive and absolutely stunning.
After we finished at the Museum of Flight, we drove back towards Cle Elum. About halfway through our journey, we made a stop in Issaquah for the remaining portion of their engagement photos. Honestly, they rocked every single part of the entire experience. Not only were they absolutely gorgeous but Jessica has an impeccable style that coordinated perfectly with each of the locations.
I’m so glad that they sought me out for their extra special Cle Elum/Pacific Northwest engagement session! Next, I’ll be the one flying out to see them, as I photograph their wedding on Tuesday, June 26th in Bat Cave, NC.
Congratulations you two, I can’t wait to see you soon!
