When I sat down with Rosie’s family at our senior photo consultation our goal was to create a senior photography experience with multiple sessions during the different seasons. We traveled all over the Central Cascades throughout the year chasing cherry blossoms in Zillah, wildflowers in Ellensburg and taking advantage of the snow in Cle Elum and Roslyn. We saw all of central Washington!

Rosie lives in Vantage, WA with her parents and is a senior this year at Kittitas High School. During all four years of her high school career, she played volleyball and ran track. After high school, she plans on attending Seattle University and pursuing a degree in biochemistry. Rosie says that she has always felt driven to excel, in part because she wants to make her parents proud.  Her parents moved to the US twenty-eight years ago and have set an extraordinary example of the value of hard work.  Neither of her parents had the opportunity to pursue advanced schooling but have worked hard to make that a possibility for all of their girls.

I loved getting to see this high school senior throughout the year and watching her blossom over the course of our sessions and I’m glad she felt the same way. She mentioned that her self-image changed as we progressed through the sessions:

In the beginning, I was less confident and didn’t see anything special in myself.  By the last session, I gained so much confidence – I started to see what others see.  It made me feel beautiful on the inside and the outside.  When you see your potential, you start to believe it.
